Summer Camp Inclusion Participant Profile

The Town of Orangeville is committed to providing a safe, secure and inclusive environment for all camp participants while creating a fun, enjoyable experience.

Town of Orangeville camp staff training includes sessions on inclusive recreation. While our staff are passionate about helping every child participate to their full potential, they are not able to provide the same level of support as educational assistants, behavioural therapists, or other professionals in this field.

Staff provide group support to all participants, including individualized situational support when required. 

Staff are not able to provide exclusive 1:1 support. Staff are not able to provide assistance with feeding, toileting, lifts, or changing (hands-on).
